Infection Control and Safety Procedures

In-person clinic visits are often necessary to provide a full assessment of a clinical problem.  Our medical team may decide to have you come into our Pickering office for an in-person medical exam such:

  • Vaccines
  • Allergy shots
  • Visualization of rashes
  • Gyne exams, swabs or
  • Measuring of vitals.

All in-person exams will be scheduled and not as a drop-in appointment.  All patients are required to wear a mask for their visit, if they do not have one, it will be provided.  In order to keep our waitroom clear of infection risk, we encourage all adults to come alone and one family member only per child or elderly.

COVID-19 Precaution

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic many of our clinical procedures have been updated.  Expert advice from IPAC, Public Health Ontario, Ontario Health as well as Lakeridge Health Oshawa regarding infection control are strictly followed.

Prior to each patient visit our staff carefully cleans any patient contact area.  The medical team does all patient exams using full Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).  The front reception area is protected with a plexiglass barrier for patient and staff protection.
